Dear Sir/Madam

Kirklees Local Plan Inspector’s Report

We are writing to inform you that following an independent examination by the Planning Inspectorate the council has received the Inspector’s report relating to the Kirklees Local Plan. The council is contacting you as you are on the council’s Local Plan database, having made comments on previous stages or have expressed an interest in being informed about the next stages of these documents.

The appointed Inspectors have concluded that with the recommended main modifications (consulted on between 20th August 2018 and 1st October 2018), the Kirklees Local Plan is sound and compliant with the legal requirements. The Inspector’s report can be viewed at www.kirklees.gov.uk/localplan  and paper copies can also be viewed at the Huddersfield and Dewsbury Customer Service Centres.

The conclusions of the Inspector’s report mean that the council can proceed towards adoption of the Local Plan. The adoption of the Local Plan will be considered by councillors at an extraordinary Council meeting on Wednesday 27th February 2019. Details regarding the meeting will be published on the council’s website in accordance with council procedures in due course.

If you no longer wish to be informed about the Local Plan and/or the Community Infrastructure Levy, please let us know using the contact details above and we will update our records.

Yours sincerely

Richard Hollinson
